Friday fun…
January 30, 2009

Since its Friday, I thought I would post a few websites that I have found this week that are worth passing on.
Here are some of my fav:
http://www.playauditorium.com/ – Very very cool “game” which has you directing beams of light into sounds. If you are an audio junkie like myself you will dig this…
http://www.justhearit.com/ – Try it, its awesome. You can find some rare stuff here…
http://de-war.de/eurekacarpark.html – wicked perspectives…
www.neave.com/lab/planetarium/ – pure awesomeness…
Have fun!

New website design – aaronlindberg.com
January 21, 2009
After spending the past couple of days and nights working on a new website design, its finally here!
Check out www.aaronlindberg.com to see the new look and feel.

Kansas City photographer Aaron Lindberg's, new website design.
It is not a heck of a lot different in terms of the layout from what I had before, but it is a bit darker and features a few new photos that I have shot over the past couple weeks. The thumbnails are a bit smaller that what I previously had them sized and I combined them into one row. I do all of my own website design and maintenance so if anything looks funny let me know so I can be sure to tweak it.
The goal of my designs are to keep the function very, very simple and easy to navigate. The main idea is to show the photos and let them do all of the work. The viewer needs to have a very simple navigation so that they don’t get lost within the website or get to overwhelmed with a lot of photos. It is supposed to be clean and simple. (At least that is what I was trying for!)
Next up will be kcfaces.com….

Year in review…
January 5, 2009
I always like to end each year with an interactive Google map of where I have traveled in the past year for photo shoots. It helps me look at where I have been and compare it to where I was the year before.
This map is interactive, you can click on a pin and it should tell you where I was and what month.
Hope everyone is keeping their New Year’s Resolutions!!!

Guns N’ Hoses
November 26, 2008
I shot the Guns N’ Hoses boxing match a couple weeks back for Ink Magazine here in Kansas City. This was a cool fundraiser event for local policemen and firemen. 100% of the proceeds from the event benefit local charities. 75% goes to the Kansas City Crime Commission’s Surviving Spouse and Family Endowment Fund (S.A.F.E.) which provide financial assistance to the spouses and children of local sworn police officers, firefighters and emergency service personnel killed in the line of duty. 25% goes to amateur youth boxing programs in the Greater Kansas City area that combat juvenile delinquency.
Policemen/women and firemen/women duke it out at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas on November 15th 2008.

Missouri high school football…
November 5, 2008
I have been meaning to post new photos to my blog but things have taken me off track. Here are 3 shots from a football game I shot for the Kansas City Star a couple weeks back. I love face mask shots, especially when the running back grabs the defenders face mask and pushes off of him. In the top shot both guys had ahold of each others mask on the play, no flag was thrown. Fitness photo shoot…
October 29, 2008
Fitness photos are fun to shoot. In mid-October I had a chance to work with a personal trainer from here in Kansas City to create stock fitness photos for my collection. We shot a few of these jumping/running shots at the studio with a light mounted to the ceiling. It took quite a few frames to get this look but after all of that jumping I am happy to have this shot to post that I hope to soon submit them to my stock agency in the next couple of weeks. I recently updated my website with this image so be sure to take a look at www.aaronlindberg.com to see it on the site.

Women’s Rugby…

This months issue of Urban Times features a sports story I shot of the KC Jazz women’s rugby team. Rugby is a great sport to shoot. Take a look at the websites to see more on this.

Football practice…
September 11, 2008
High School Football is starting up so I figured I would post a couple photos from a recent practice I shot at Shawnee Mission East. I love shooting football, I could probably shoot football for the rest of my life and be happy!

California photo shoot…
August 10, 2008
Last week I was sent out to Solana Beach, California on a photo shoot for a magazine I do some work for (more on this post in a couple weeks after the print edition is released.) After landing I drove North about a half an hour up to Solana Beach where I met up with the writer and grabbed some brunch right off of the beach at a neat little restaurant called Ki’s. It’s hard to top a shoot when you get to fly in and grab some chow while looking over the beach into the wide open Pacific Ocean. I told the reporter “This doesn’t suck” as I chowed down on a breakfast burrito with a smirk on my face.
These photos were shot overlooking Solana Beach, unfortunatly I didnt get a chance to get into the Pacific Ocean but I did manage to check out the beach. Its a great little spot just North of San Diego, if you get a chance stop by and check out the town. This was a first – on Tuesday morning I went to grab a cup of coffee and to my surprise they offered it with a scoop of peanut butter. It was different but tasty, I never thought that peanut butter and coffee would go together but they did.
More info including photos from the beach photo shoot with an original Evolution Surfboard will be posted as soon as the story is ran. Thanks for checking this out, Kansas City Photographer Aaron Lindberg.
